A band of people stayed after the service to pray for Joseph and Lucy Tian-Delamerced, who were moving and had poured a lot into the Ren Church community, especially towards the college students and young adults. They then served to the very last minute, giving a short talk at the Well gathering about trusting God with one’s future. We already miss you both!

Church members surprised Ren staff with thank you gifts and an all-church celebration! Thank you Pastor Scott, Tiffany, RenKids Director Alli, Art Director Katherine, and general contractor Rich for your ceaseless efforts to make the 10 Tripps renovation happen.
For a unique 25 hours from Feb 28 - March 1, the global Church gathered through a simulcast called Gather25 to share how Jesus is transforming the Church in many parts of the planet. One of the several broadcast groups in Rhode Island was hosted at Renaissance Church from 8 pm - 2 am, and GenZ women and men led the worship and prayer onsite for the evening. God’s Spirit filled the place with His presence, and many of those who came spent time in confession, prayer, and whole-hearted worship.

A new group for teens and young adults has launched at Ren! In hopes to be a space to go deep with our faith in Jesus, we’ve named it The Well. After eating a lunch provided by one of the small groups, students and young adults gathered round for testimony-sharing time.
Here we are finishing the final touches of the renovation at 10 Tripps Lane—and finally moving from Providence to Riverside! Thank you to all the volunteers and contractors for all the hard work to get us across the finish line.

Celebrating Palm Sunday! The Potter’s House made us delicious street tacos again. We’re enjoying one of the final times final times of eating together in the 184 Broad St, Providence space.
The first big gathering of Core 2024 ate together and prayed together, starting the year strong with a renewed vision of what it means to be a healthy church.

To continue what we learned from last year’s intergenerational small communities, we started interactive all-church Sunday gatherings. Near the stage we had instruments and drawing materials to engage a variety of worship expressions. Council leader Vicky shared the parable of the prodigal son using pipe cleaner people and paper hearts. Then the congregation got in little groups to discuss themes found in the Bible passage. We still are finding joy in gathering all the generations to seek Jesus together.
During the 2024 season of Lent kids and grown-ups got together for a series about what it means to care for God’s creation in light of climate change and how to respond to environmental issues with a biblical framework. Sprinkled among deep discussions were fun activities to help us enjoy God’s creation, such as a diverse fruits taste test or painting our favorite things in nature.
